{"id":366,"date":"2008-01-18T00:08:27","date_gmt":"2008-01-18T06:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.demyen.ca\/blog\/?p=366"},"modified":"2008-01-18T00:22:00","modified_gmt":"2008-01-18T06:22:00","slug":"asus-eee-pc-my-latest-purchase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.demyen.ca\/blog\/?p=366","title":{"rendered":"Asus Eee PC &#8211; My Latest Purchase"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncix.com\/index.php?affiliateid=5051698\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/secure.ncix.com\/images\/affiliate_100x100.gif\" style=\"float: right\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI just recently purchased a brand new Asus Eee PC from NCIX.\u00c2\u00a0 It is a sub-notebook which means it is a fully functional notebook but it is smaller and lighter.\u00c2\u00a0 All sorts of people these days are buying notebooks and its really becoming a common sight around the University.\u00c2\u00a0 Well, coming up soo, everyone carrying around an Asus Eee.\u00c2\u00a0 I think it is a really great idea for school, although the display is only 7 inches, it is more than adequate for typing notes and browsing some webpages wirelessly.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I think a lot of notebooks these days are becoming more and more expensive as they are actually more of desktop replacements and thats note really what I&#8217;m looking for in class.\u00c2\u00a0 Out of the box it comes packaged with Linux and that should provide the functionality for most people but of course you can install Windows if you desire.\u00c2\u00a0 If you see me around school make sure to ask to see it since it really is something that should be seen.\u00c2\u00a0 You can check out a comparision picture of an <a href=\"http:\/\/flickr.com\/photos\/barl0w\/2180093088\/\">Asus Eee beside a Dell XPS M1330<\/a>.
