{"id":241,"date":"2006-11-15T11:08:20","date_gmt":"2006-11-15T17:08:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.demyen.ca\/blog\/?p=241"},"modified":"2006-11-15T11:08:20","modified_gmt":"2006-11-15T17:08:20","slug":"google-moving-on-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.demyen.ca\/blog\/?p=241","title":{"rendered":"Google moving on up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The past couple days has seen Google Inc&#8217;s (NASDAQ : GOOG) stock rise to its highest point ever.\u00c2\u00a0 It is very steadily creeping towards the $500 per share plateau and could easily get to that point in the next few days.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Already today it has reached as high as 498.29 around noon.\u00c2\u00a0 This isn&#8217;t the only search engine company that is on the move up though.\u00c2\u00a0 Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU) has also been increasing steadily since their Ebay announcement.\u00c2\u00a0 As well, Baidu has announced a partnership with a six antivirus firms.\u00c2\u00a0 Stock in Baidu has also risen to its highest ever levels, with share prices getting up as high as 106.12 per share.\u00c2\u00a0 It seems that if you are a search engine and you control your market your stock is going to head up but if you do not control the market, like Yahoo! Inc.
